WE ARE INVESTED.
We are in. We’re all in. We are committed to MTC, to our supporting parishes, to Catholic Education, to our community and to your children. We are intent in partnering with the Parish Pastors, MTC’s Principal and its Leadership Team to ensure a long and prosperous future for this school. The concept of a Board of Limited Jurisdiction (BLJ, or “The Board”) is an evolution from the Advisory Boards of the past in Archdiocesan schools. We are here to crystallize a strategy, then support its implementation and execution. Plain and simple. In terms of how we do that, it helps to understand what will make us successful and a value-add to MTC.

Why Did you Join the MTC Board
I serve on the Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School Board because Catholic education has had strong influence on my life. Raised by a single mother who made sacrifices to send my brother and me to Catholic school, I learned the value of faith, community, and perseverance. My husband and I chose the same path for our children, Brendan, Grace, and Erin, who all attended MTC from pre-K through middle school. Our family thrived in this close-knit environment that truly feels like a second family. Through my role on the Board, I hope to help with the mission of providing as many families as possible with the opportunity to provide this type of experience for their children, if it is important to them.

Why Did you Join the MTC Board?
When I look back on my early schooling that MTC provided me, I see countless benefits that molded my life. The faith, stability, confidence, and compassion I learned at MTC in my early years are the reasons I enjoy working with and giving back to MTC. My goal is to make sure MTC can do the same today for our young children in the area for years to come.

Why Did you Join the MTC Board
My two brothers and I had an amazingly positive experience at MDP/MTC. All of us attended the school grades 1-8 and will be forever grateful for what we learned during those formative years. My reason for joining the Board was easy. It was time to give back to the school I love so much. I am excited to be part of its future.

Timothy J. Carney serves on the MTC Board, bringing decades of leadership experience in both the public and private sectors. He is currently the Vice President at Experity, Inc., a leading healthcare technology company, and also serves as the Mayor of Stone Harbor, New Jersey.
Why Did you Join the MTC Board
My family has been part of the MTC community since 1958. Five members of the Carney family attended MTC, and my mother dedicated over 35 years working in the Rectory as a secretary and assistant. My siblings and I played sports, volunteered, and were deeply involved in parish life, including my band performing at the annual carnival from its earliest days.
MTC holds a special place in my heart and in my upbringing. The values I learned here shaped the person I am today, both professionally and personally. I credit my eight years at MTC with laying the foundation for my character, work ethic, and commitment to service. Joining the Board is my way of giving back to the community that gave so much to me.
