JANINE ARTEGLIER
DIR. OF SPECIAL ED
I am thrilled to be a part of the Mother Teresa family. I graduated from Immaculata University with an undergraduate degree in early childhood, elementary, and special education. I have my master's degree in education along with my reading specialist certification from Cabrini University. I taught second grade for six years. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching basketball at the Agnes Irwin School. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year!

Religion
We remember each day how much love God has for us by engaging in prayer. God wants us to continue to grow deeper in his love each and every day by being kind and loving one another.
Language Arts
The more that you read, the more you will know! Daily read aloud’s will foster an early love for reading. Providing the students with a wide variety of genres of books and stories allows students to be exposed to print.
Math/Science Readiness
Students will develop a love for math and science by using a variety of hands on materials. Building like engineers and conducting experiments like scientists are just some of the ways science and math are explored in
the classroom.
Science
Students will begin to explore the process of scientific inquiry, develop fundamental knowledge, and learn science vocabulary. We’ll focus on opportunities for exploration using science tools and materials during
centers and at the science table. Learning science through math and literacy is the main focus.
Social Studies
By building on the students experiences and personal lives, students will learn about different people and places in our community.
Social/Emotional Skills
Instilling a sense of independence occurs throughout each school day. Teaching students that they can do anything if they create positive self-esteem for each individual student.
